100T Hessite Powder Block Press 1
Hessite Powder Block: Hydraulic Press Machine

100T Four Column Hydraulic Press for Hessite Powder Block Press

A Hessite Powder Block Compression 4-Column Hydraulic Press Machine is a specialized heavy-duty industrial compaction system engineered to compress fine hessite powder (silver telluride, Ag2Te, which serves as a valuable ore of silver) into dense, uniform solid blocks, briquettes, or charge preforms.

These machines are utilized in extractive metallurgy, precious metal refining, and smelting preparation, where loose, high-value mineral concentrates must be consolidated to minimize airborne dusting, prevent material loss, and optimize furnace feed rates.

01 — Engineering Considerations

Structural Design & Engineering Considerations (4-Column Architecture)

High-Precision Guidance & Parallelism: Precious metal concentrates require strict control over compaction uniformity to prevent structural weak points or density gradients. The four-pillar precision-ground column architecture ensures absolute platen parallelism and eliminates lateral play, preventing uneven wall pressures and ensuring consistent block density.

Rigid Load Distribution: Compacting dense, valuable mineral powders into high-strength blocks requires continuous high tonnage. The 4-column frame withstands heavy cyclic loads without structural flexing, maintaining exact micro-tolerances between the punches and the die cavity over long operational lifespans.

Material Security & Dust Containment: Because hessite contains precious silver, the press is integrated with enclosed or sealed feeding hoppers, secure collection zones, and local exhaust ventilation ports to prevent material loss, protect operators, and ensure strict inventory accountability during processing.

03 — Operational Workflow

Operational Workflow

  1. Enclosed Volumetric Feeding: An automated, sealed feed shoe slides precisely over the die cavity to deposit a measured volume of loose hessite powder, minimizing airborne dust and preventing precious metal loss.
  2. Multi-Stage Compression:
    1. Fast Approach: The top ram lowers quickly to the material surface.
    2. High-Pressure Compaction: The system applies controlled tonnage. A multi-action or dual-punch configuration ensures even particle interlocking and density distribution throughout the depth of the block.
  3. Dwell Phase: Peak pressure is held for a set duration to allow trapped air to evacuate and the dense mineral particles to firmly settle, minimizing internal stress or cracking.
  4. Controlled Decompression & Ejection: Hydraulic pressure is gradually bled off to prevent surface cracking from elastic springback. A bottom ejection cylinder then cleanly pushes the solid hessite block out of the die cavity for downstream refining, smelting, or secure transport.
